aluminum frame? on Home Office Desk Chairs

This is the most expensive office chair I have ever bought. My last $200 chair started falling apart after just two years. This chair was very easy to assemble. Easiest thing I've ever made and I've made several. The chair is very stable, nothing creaks or creaks. I like the firmness of the pillow but I'm hoping it breaks. This is a really nice chair. My only complaint has to do with the tilt tension. Yes, I have the max back incline set the way I want it, but I really wish the incline was tighter. I unscrewed it all the way and am afraid that if I try to tighten it any further I'll break something, which would be a shame. Description says aluminum frame. I guess I didn't know what that meant, but the base and back are plastic. Not what I wanted in this price range.
