There were other diffusers I looked at that I liked the look of better and that had larger capacity, but when this said "portable" I thought it meant it would charge or take batteries and could be used without being plugged in, when they really just want to say "small".I wanted this to take outside to set up near where we lounge and play, hoping that I could use some citronella oil to deter bugs, without needing an open flame. I suppose I can still do that, but if I had known I would need to run an extension cord, I would have just gotten a larger diffuser.That being said so far it works fine. Add water and oil, turn it on. It can run continuously or on 30 sec intervals.It has a light that can be set to cycled through colors, or you can set it to a specific color. Each color has a bright and dim mode.If you want a small diffuser this is nice.If you want a portable diffuser look elsewhere.I would have returned it but with COVID-19 delaying the shipping on this thing by 3 weeks, it isn't worth fooling with. I'll just use it and keep searching for a battery powered one.
