Our LG fridge is only 13 months old. When we changed the filter six months ago, the ORIGINAL filter element was removed and the first Marriotto filter (let's call it the M1) was put back in and worked perfectly. But tonight (6 months later) the rolling of the M1 completely damaged the filter head! - I didn't apply any force at all, just a normal counter-clockwise roll back, but then I found that the M2 could never be oriented to roll in. I searched the internet for a long time to understand why and it turned out that so many people earlier warned about the fake brand that the filter head broke! It happened to us now and for sure! LG can make the theme so that it specifically gives us a lesson on how to use the LG filter. We will request repairs (unfortunately the 12 month warranty has just expired) and spend a lot more to replace the filter head assembly. But you can refer to the picture of how M1's rolled top looks like when I rolled it up tonight. Is it good quality?
