I have owned it for several years. Then I took it on a trip and left it at the hotel. I've always wondered if I should have stayed (and paid more) for the original Ma scooter. After losing this one, I bought Ma. This model is carved from two pieces of wood glued together. For me, this resulted in a tiny, fairly abrupt shift that was uncomfortable. This is easily remedied with a nail file. end of the problem. The two central "buttons" on it are softer and less "pointy" than those on the Ma Roller. I think it's good. Even after using the Ma Roller for a long time, I still find it too hard for my body. It's hard to relax in it - let my back sink around it. Since these things are so effective, that's a problem. For me (someone with fairly good pain tolerance), the more rounded design of this model works better. Still, don't expect to feel great the first time or two. Your body will want to hold on to its tension, and trying to do so is excruciating as pieces of wood dig into tight muscles. If you keep going like this, eventually you will give up and the tension will melt away. You get deliverance and relief. Your muscles find ways to realign without the usual strain. In addition, the rubber O-rings on this model prevent the device from slipping under your shoulders at the beginning. I wish I had this instead of my Ma scooter. (But maybe I'm just never satisfied?)
