Once I installed the 3 required AA batteries, the fire engines worked fine.Your writeup should say that the truck requires batteries so they could be ordered at the same time.I intend to give these to underpriviledged children next month, and it is a good thing I found out in time that I need to purchase and install the batteries. I certainly could not have used the two fire engines that I ordered the same week.
