I'm sure these things are indestructible, at least relatively. These things have lasted over 3 years of heavy use, not a single earphone has broken or gone silent. These things were thrown in my bag along with my heavy textbooks, thrown on the ground and stepped on. They continued to work like brave warriors. What killed my old pair was that the wire was literally chewed through and I immediately ordered another pair of the same headphones. The sound quality isn't the best, you get what you pay for in that regard, but in terms of breakage and overall cost, they're worth your $10.
