I was able to use this on both my Lenovo laptop and my Samsung Galaxy S8. My S8 was able to connect to my TV via HDMI and run Samsung DEX where I could use my phone as a touchpad while the DEX app was running on my TV. General use for my phone was somewhat limited as peripherals other than HDMI connected to it didn't work. This is expected behavior for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and is not an adapter malfunction. Everything worked perfectly with my laptop. All USB ports, HDMI and SD slots were exactly what the doctor ordered. The only thing missing from this USB hub found in more expensive models is the ability to charge this device via USB-C. Again, this isn't a bug or bug in the device, it just doesn't have that functionality.
