This case is made of plastic and attaches to the Switch and the Switch controllers. The controller part consists of two parts that completely cover the joycons. For this reason, the keys are now slightly recessed. This isn't a problem except for the controller release buttons on the back. Sometimes they are difficult to push. Also, the case adds thickness to the switch so it doesn't sink completely into the dock. This is just enough to make contact with the port so you can still plug in your Switch to play on your TV. You definitely want to put on a screen protector. Or get a small third-party dock, into which you can easily mount the switch. (That's what I intend to do).
