Review on 👜 58718 Sandstone Duffels: Perfect for 5'11" Compatibility by Kyle Cross

I have tried many bags for my FT-60 and this is by far the best! It gets a radio with a belt clip and an attached external microphone. Without clip and microphone sits freely. I added a 1/2 inch piece of foam at the bottom to elevate the radio a little and make the handles more accessible. I removed the elastic cords from the outer loops and pulled them straight to the velcro. Now the bungee runs on both sides. Volume control, but does not restrict its movement. I found the tabs on the Slickstick 5.11 Molle to work very well. Some note that the case material can scratch the radio display. I'll take a closer look and maybe add some soft stuff. The attached pictures show a 5.11 radio case connected to a Maxpedition Mongo Versipack. I routed the speaker/mic cable through the Mongo's strap and it lays perfectly for head-tilted communication. Very impressive!
