This apron will protect me when I use the trimmer on my 3 acre garden, part of the garden is a swamp and a stream. It protects my clothes as well as small rocks and small branches from bumps. My garden is not your typical manicured lawn, it is uneven ground with lots of trees and native bushes so branches can break and fall off at any moment. The soil is a mixture of gravel, clay, sand and loose earth, lots of weeds and vegetation. I don't pull weeds, I pull them. I simply shed the apron while it's still on me to remove dust and dirt, then I hang it up to dry and it dries very quickly. I hand wash it with soap and water when heavily soiled.
