I needed headphones to use as the IR cable for the factory entertainment system in our 2010 Nissan Armada and came with a cable (3.5mm plug, not included included) could connect an iPad if my three kids wanted to watch something else or play a game. You are perfect for these roles. With these headphones, there is no need to have 6 pairs (3 IR and 3 wired) floating around the cabin. All three in the hard case fit perfectly in the console between the captain's chairs in the second row. Great product for our nearly 6000 mile journey!
