Review on Tamper-Resistant Receptacles Wallplates, In Convenient Packaging by Shawn Jimenez

poor quality the best electrics

Not only is the quality bad, the design doesn't make sense either. I ordered it because of the cheap price. Although an outlet is an outlet, which may not be the case. And I was wrong. The back of the insertion hole does not click. When you insert the cord during installation, it doesn't click or hold like a good or regular outlet. You need to screw in the side screw to clamp the wire. This defeats the purpose of the insertion hole. Then the side screw is too short and the inner pin is too loose. Make it so that it is very difficult to screw in and hold the pin. And for one of the sockets, it still didn't hold the wire even after I screwed it in. Due to the fact that the side screw is very short, 12 or 14 gauge wires cannot be clipped to it. Maybe a skinny 20 would do. I later bought a brand store out of a big box for less than a dollar more. Don't skimp on the outlet, choose a well-known brand.

Pros
  • sockets and accessories
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
