The concept is there and it will definitely speed up the process compared to hand hammering plastic caps but I would not recommend this gun/brand. Should have bought a Dewalt. It worked fine the first day, but has been having constant problems ever since. The main problem is that the plastic caps constantly get stuck in the bottom of the filler neck and either don't shoot or fall out halfway. The slide mechanism on the bottom does not work properly, causing the plastic caps to eject intermittently, which usually results in the gun firing staples half the time without the plastic caps. There are no settings and there is a greased slide mechanism, but it still doesn't work properly.
