I'm glad others have had success with their fingerprint readers, but the one I have doesn't work well enough to use for anything. I tried this in my keyboard's USB hub and the device moves in the slot just enough to disconnect and reconnect with every touch. This isn't very practical for something that needs to be touched in order for it to work. Other devices in this slot are working properly. I plugged it directly into the front of the PC, which isn't very convenient for using the fingerprint scanner. You could at least stay in touch a little bit better. So I went through the Windows 10 security setup for it. I added two different fingers. My hands are absolutely clean. There's no reason this shouldn't work every time I touch it with a finger. At best, it works about 1 out of 5 times. Perhaps their quality control needs to be improved. I think I just wasted the money.
