I bought these pink pliers because they are half the price of the same product at Joann I thought. It must be fake or defective so the price is reduced, I went to Joanne and bought the Fiskars brand for $35, they are the same company that makes the Ginger and they really work! Pee the tissue sample so it doesn't crumble. With Fiskars I can cut through the center of the fabric with a clean and sharp zigzag. With a pair of Ginger scissors, it barely cuts if you just slide it along the edge of the fabric. If you cut too much into the edge it will snag and tear the fabric with a horrible edge that doesn't look like a zig zag, just stick with the Fiskars if you're unsure which to buy. The Ginger form is very attractive compared to some of the orange scissors, but the performance is clearly lacking.
