HOWEVER, I have had serious battery drain issues since installing this unit despite setting the voltage control to 12v and setting the timer to 6 hours. The next morning the camera drained the battery so much that the car stalled when starting. My car battery is less than 3 years old when I write this. The only reason I bought the X version was the battery off timer. Disappointed in this aspect. There is also no option to record manually. This is a major disadvantage as the built-in collision or event detection does not cover all obstacles encountered while driving.
