I would say that 90% of my day consists of keystrokes. As you can imagine, this makes some of the joints in my hands very stiff. Although I have never been diagnosed with anything resembling carpal tunnel syndrome, I have found that I have more pain in my hands than I have in years. That's why I found this electric handheld massager from Cotsoco intriguing. According to several studies, regular hand massage offers many benefits. These benefits include less hand pain, less anxiety, better mood, better sleep, greater grip strength, potential reduction in blood pressure, and less stress. The same website also mentions that general massage of any kind can help with conditions like pain syndromes, including arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and fibromyalgia; autoimmune diseases such as asthma and multiple sclerosis; Autism, HIV, Parkinson's and dementia. For all of these reasons, it's worth trying an automatic massager like this one from Cotsoco. I'm usually hesitant to use massagers. They tend to pinch and bump in places I don't want them to. But for some reason, when it came to this handy (no pun intended) massager, I immediately jumped in and gave it a try. I've never had a hand massage and don't have a good basis for comparison, but the electric hand massager seems to do a really good job of creating enough pressure to make a difference. I've used it a number of times since it arrived and found that although my hands come out of the massager a bit stiff (mainly from lying still for 10 minutes) they end up feeling more relaxed and I didn't notice it hurting a bit when I start typing again. This massager has some really great features. First, it's wireless/rechargeable. This makes using such a device very easy. I've used many different types of massagers and they always seem to be weighed down with cords and wires. It was very pleasing to find that despite the fact that it came with cables (for charging, of course) it was ready to use right out of the box. The next thing I noticed was that there were no instructions in the box. The only thing that comes with the massager besides the charging cable is a warranty card. The instructions are printed on the back of the box. This is important to note because if you quickly unwrap the box and throw it away, you won't know what the various buttons are for. The massage cycle lasts 10 minutes but can be interrupted by pressing the on/off button. . You have the option to increase/decrease the pressure during the massage, as well as add heat and/or vibration to the cycle. Inside, the massager feels like one of those microbead pillows until you turn it on. Cotsoco has allowed users to massage their left or right hand, which is very convenient for me as both hands often hurt. I also really like that the massage cycle lasts 10 minutes. I really wish there were loop length options. The 10 minute option is great if you have 20 minutes (10 for each hand), but I don't always have extra time between tasks. The massager is not "big”, but it is not small either. . I think that's the average size that fits in the person's hand. However, I can't imagine two of them standing on a shelf to massage both hands at the same time. I think it will take up too much space. As for my hands - I had no problems. I would say my hands are medium sized but my fingers are longer. I think most people won't have sizing issues, but some people with larger hands may have sizing issues. Overall, this is a great option for a massager. I feel more relaxed after using it and think it helps with my arm pain. I'm curious to see how this holds up over time.
