When shopping online, it's often difficult to tell colors apart. Bought these to add to my fairly extensive Converse collection as I wanted something in a purple hue. I was disappointed because the color of Violet Ash tends towards gray. As I already own a pair of light gray Madison style mid-top sneakers (highly recommend as they have more cushioning and are the most comfortable of all styles) and another low shade of grey, this particular pair is redundant. . I'm keeping them because I'm too lazy to return them and who knows, one day a friend might need to borrow a pair and I'll just pass them on.
