Blurry picture, poor customer service

Blurry image, poor customer service/support.11-5-2012b Dell ST2320L LCD Monitor Short answer: Buy something other than Dell I found an LCD/LED monitor on the Dell website. I looked at their refurbished monitors at the Dell store but had problems with the online ordering process and called. I was told about a new monitor for the same price. It turned out to be about the same performance. Both were about the same specs as my old 19" Samsung 4:3, Dell only wider but 1/2 shorter (field of view), see below for more info. I could only manage settings well. I called customer service (tech) several times but couldn't find anyone more tech savvy than me. When I asked about a return I was told there was a restocking fee (IE = non-refundable). Conclusion: If I could do it again, I would choose a different brand and a 24-inch LCD monitor. It's less sharp than my old Samsung 4:3 sync master and less sharp than my work monitor, which is the same size and specs (see below for more info). Pros: Wider than my old 4:3, 19 inches. The LCD has all 3 types of inputs: DVI, VGA and HDMI. OK Color (after you turn down the brightness) Cons: Blurry for text Defaults are all wrong (brightness, contrast and sharpness) Customer service and tech support sux! Are you less technical than me? The new 23" monitor has a 1/2" shorter viewing area than my old 19" LCD monitor. service code or registration). Do they often send me in circles? Tips: Reduce Brightness to 65, Contrast to 65 and Sharpness (Menu, Display Settings) to 30. It's almost normal now. I tried VGA, seems the same, maybe less flicker. Dell monitor set to: 1920 x 1080 for monitor and computer. Old monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 94319, 4:3, LCD. very good monitor) My computer: Main use: read e-mails, surf the Internet. In the worst case, use virus scanning on the computer.
