I bought a medium - they are huge. how to wear mittens with thumbtacks. Gloves can be worn underneath. and on a really cold day I would recommend it. My hands still felt a bit cold when wearing it. but it was windy and around 20f. When they're on, you can't really hold anything. and I find they want to slip away. while the back is furry, it's a bit rough. They are a little lighter than the photo, like a light camel color. camo sleeves the inside is very smooth - too smooth. hard to hold a hand designed for gloves. the insert flies out. I can't imagine the Air Force needing gloves like that. You can't do anything while wearing them.
