In the meantime, I'm raising the rating based on their helpfulness and responsiveness. One thing to note: I'm using this with a MacBook Pro, not a phone. Maybe it's important? ---------- Original Review: I have no problem listening with this cable and my Beats Solo 2. But the built-in microphone is pretty much useless. When using the microphone, the sound is very quiet and muffled, and there is a humming/squeaking noise in the background. I replaced the first one which I thought was just a bad unit but the replacement does the same thing. Sellers ask if there is a trick to get the mic to work. I will update when I fix this.
