I use this hammock for camping and weigh about 105 pounds so I fit in it just fine. It was very easy to set up but I couldn't put it back into the built in storage box so I just rolled it up and put it in another bag. Not sure about heavier people and durability as the material is quite thin. Maybe you have a spare hammock for that case. It's much cheaper and lighter than a premium tent - use with a tarp in light rain. The hammock folds awkwardly at the attachment points and straightening the legs pushes them up which can become uncomfortable and causes me to lose circulation after a while so I prefer to sleep curled up or sideways in it. The insect net has proven very useful in my tropical climate.
