Great hammock! But there is a downside if you don't use an insect screen

Excellent material and easy to install with the straps provided. Compared to the previous version, I like the improved elastic cords that keep the bugs out of the net and when using the net the long seam (the entire length of the hammock) works well to keep the net off your face. However, moving the seam along the middle length of the hammock instead of running across the hammock at the ends does not provide the same flexibility/stretch when placed on top of the hammock when the bug net is not…

Sleep like a baby. for hammocks

After sleeping in hammocks all summer, I decided to try the new Sunyear hammock in laziness. Once installed, it turned out to be surprisingly roomy. And I love the pattern of monkeys and sloths in camouflage. The single mesh line is easier than the double line on my previous Sunyear hammock. The only change I will make is replacing the steel carabiners with lighter ones. softened Worst of all, the last few nights here in Minnesota have been in my 30s and I haven't been able to enjoy the night…

My back was so thankful

I only used it once during a 3 day trip to the woods but it has already proved invaluable. My back can't take the stress of sleeping on the floor anymore, so I climbed trees. The mosquito net worked great and I slept better than expected when I found myself hanging in mid-air and at 6ft 3in it's hard to find a position on a regular bed. In any case, the small inside pocket came loose because the seams came undone due to improper placement. If you put something in your pocket you will end up…

Functional, Affordable, Lightweight

I use this hammock for camping and weigh about 105 pounds so I fit in it just fine. It was very easy to set up but I couldn't put it back into the built in storage box so I just rolled it up and put it in another bag. Not sure about heavier people and durability as the material is quite thin. Maybe you have a spare hammock for that case. It's much cheaper and lighter than a premium tent - use with a tarp in light rain. The hammock folds awkwardly at the attachment points and straightening the…

Worth every penny - Hammocks

This is my second SunYear hammock that we have bought because my family loves it! The straps are perfect for just about anywhere as we attach them to porches, railings, railings and trees of all sizes. The hammock suspension straps come with a variety of different loops, which means they can be adjusted to almost any size. It provides two more straps at the top to lift the mosquito net, providing a more spacious interior environment than other net hammocks. The material is very durable, even…

Very durable. Very big, mesh too weak

This hammock has some great features. It's very strong, won't break, and I weigh 260 pounds! More on that later. It is very comfortable. And definitely double, not single. If there's only one person inside, the sides will wrap you up so high you can't see around. Even when there are two of you, the mosquito net in the hammock simply hangs over your face. I don't see any way to stretch the net so high that it doesn't hang down in the hammock. For this reason I will end up sending it back. Now…

  • Cord is shorter than others

I used to have a handcrafted Warbonnet Blackbird XL and all sorts of accessories (cost around $1500), even a weather sock - and it would be comfortable outside in 0F temperatures - but it was stolen when I was stupid enough to leave it in someone's yard I didn't know as well as I thought I did. I will most likely never have such an expensive hammock again, especially when there are such. I really love these, critical as my review is here (I *really* wish these things in the product improved and
