I bought this product to help me work from home. Previously, I used my laptop to use the built-in camera and microphone since my desktop didn't have a webcam. I was able to plug it in and get it working with no problems. Image quality is not as good as the built-in laptop model. Overall it's grainy, but it's definitely better than being without it or using the laptop's camera and ignoring the other conference participants while I type on my desktop computer to take notes. Overall a good buy and I could perhaps play around with some settings to improve image quality. It could also be the lighting in my desktop area causing some graininess.
