UPDATED REVIEW AFTER THREE MONTHS - Great sound quality and fitment

UPDATE OCTOBER 23, 2020 - One star deducted. I found it necessary to log in again to update my experience with this radio. After about three months of almost daily use (working four hours a day) I found that the volume knob was slightly off. I use this radio on my desk at work and prefer to keep the volume down. The volume control has lost its ability to provide a low volume level, going from low to medium high with a small crackle. This is clearly a mechanical fault and a disappointment as otherwise I like the radio. On the other hand, the battery life was excellent; I haven't had to change them yet. Like most reviews of this radio, mine is positive. I bought two Panasonic radios, this one is ASIN B072KLXG5M https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072KLXG5M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00? dh=UTF8&psc=1 I actually like the other radio better, but that's fine too (so far). The tote is non-leather and not particularly high quality (leather-vinyl 'cloth') and prevents me from turning the knobs (which otherwise feel nice), so gone. In any case, the radio looks and sounds better without it, but it's good that they include it for those who need such tuning. Reception of "main" FM stations is clear in the Puget Sound area, which has terrible signal range due to topography. I don't get very good AM reception on this radio, but I wouldn't have expected that without a different antenna. I haven't tried shortwave yet. As mentioned in other reviews, this radio has true analogue tuning. Unfortunately, this is becoming increasingly rare as it allows for "finer" tuning. I really wish it included a power adapter at this price point; The other radio I mentioned above came with one and is a little cheaper. I'm not motivated enough to record exactly how many hours of playtime I get from a battery pack, sorry.

  • Affordability
Cons
  • Too stupid
