Now let me explain the title of this review, we bought two packs and installed them in all the entryways of our home. The sound is loud enough to be heard in all parts of the house which I would rate a 5/5 but the problem we had with each of these alarm clocks was that after 4 days they fell off the doors. Both the alarm itself and the magnetic strip fell to the ground. What appeared to be a very sticky coating for these devices slid right off our doors (note: we made sure to clean the surfaces and let them dry overnight before attaching the alarm to the doors to ensure this did not happen and that the surface was free of dirt or other attached particles). The problem is we have pets and small children. When the alarm clock falls, 4 small fingernail-sized batteries scatter across the floor in all directions. We chased cats, dogs and children around the house trying to rip batteries out of the little ones' hands and the animals' MOUTH. I find that NEVER acceptable. We all know that swallowing batteries can be fatal — a risk no parent would take. We are very dissatisfied with our purchase and will not buy again. They are designed to keep our homes safe, not the complete opposite.
