Just received, set up and updated eufy v1 wired doorbell. With the new one I set the activity zone but motion is detected outside of the set zone so my phone is constantly disabled for cars. There is no way to fix the wide angle curve like in v1. No pre-record 3s like in v1. And to top it all off, the recording seems to play at 1.25x. I'm going back to v1, it's terrible. Avoid.

Easy setup - folks, you CAN use Wi-Fi to connect HOMEBASE to your router! Just make a wired connection, set it up in the app first, then click "Settings". You can connect via WiFi and disconnect the cable. It's not in the instructions at all! The recordings are so short in automatic mode (optimal battery and surveillance) that they stop before people have left the screen or a package has been delivered. To make a long story short, the Eufy doorbell really does what it says on the tin. Setup is extremely easy, video is crisp and fast, motion alerts are relevant and customizable to your needs, and the app is *incredibly* easy to use. Review updated: Eufy Support contacted me to resolve the issues I raised in my review and sent them via Email sent to support. I reinstalled the doorbell camera after the firmware update. I moved the camera but due to the cutout in the door the infrared lamps create poor glare from adjacent walls at night. This is noted as possible in the installation guide, so I turned it off at night and the footage is still visible. I have upgraded my rating from 2 to 3 stars as I have installed Eufy Battery
