Review on 🔔 Eufy Security Video Doorbell Kit - Battery-Powered, 2K Resolution, 180-Day Battery Life, Encrypted Local Storage, No Monthly Fees, HomeBase with Strong Wi-Fi and Integrated Storage by Shawn Xayamonty

Used a battery powered doorbell from a company whose privacy policy has been questioned and who also charges a monthly fee for cloud storage. I wanted to find a solution that would allow me to record locally and not pay a monthly fee. Wirecutter highly recommended the wired version of this doorbell, so I was excited to see the battery powered version released and I wasn't disappointed. PROs - Very easy setup - 2K video resolution that looks great day and night - Super intuitive app with lots of features and settings you can customize to your liking - Excellent motion and people detection. It even has face detection to give you a preview of the face when it's capturing a person. You can also add family/friend faces to the AI system so it can only alert you when it recognizes a stranger (still see how well this works) - 16GB of local storage at Homebase, which comes with the doorbell becomes. That's huge because not only is there enough space to record it, but it's stored in a Home Base that sits in your house. For other doorbells, it is stored in the doorbell itself. Does someone pull your doorbell? You SOL - If WiFi goes down, footage will continue to be recorded and can be viewed once the connection is restored - no need to purchase additional calls. The Homebase behaves like a bell and you can also connect Echo Dots to the bell. - NO PAYMENTS FOR PERMANENT STORAGE - A bit pricey compared to other video doorbells on the market (even with the original wired version from eufy) but it's just out and again NO PAYMENTS FOR PERMANENT STORAGE. In my opinion you pay for what you get quality, features and peace of mind. Generally very satisfied so far. Since Homebase runs a newer version of eufycams I bought a eufycam 2c for under $100 and added it to get a better view of the driveway. Still a big fan of eufy and their products!
