The ability to identify what's wrong with endpoints makes it valuable for finding issues or remediation quickly without spending time investigating individual problems one at a time. We use this in combination of other software - looking specifically through logs from our firewall/IDS (Forti) platform we can see where an endpoint is logging traffic and then using finite state machines determine exactly which device has been doing so; thus narrowing down potential sources before starting investigations manually.- Limited support options out-of box when dealing directly within Fortinet product line. Consider working closely with their team as they provide great customer service but are not always able most likely due to limited resources available internally at FINTE STATE! Looking up specific events such as web server activity across many thousands servers is very fast now since implementing FSTM solutions via custom scripts / policies built by us. I like that it is able to analyze firmware and identify potential issues. It can be used in conjunction with other tools for more comprehensive analysis. The UI could use some work. I have found it difficult to navigate. A better user interface would make this tool easier to use. We have identified several issues using Finite State that we were not aware of otherwise. We are evaluating if Finite State will help us address these issues.
