Case doesnt charge with QI charger and it uses old lightening cable port for charging

*updated review 12/3*Updated to 2 stars but this case has to be very specifically aligned to a qi charger and even then only one in this house will make a steady connection to this thing. None of my upright connections will work because they won't align to the phone case well enough.I did figure out that the cable charging port is the old lightening connector for older devices. So this will not connect to any current connectors - I don't know whose decision that was but I won't give 3 stars for that design flaw. It needed to be clearly pointed out in the marketing images. I was able to find an old one and it does charge that way but I don't recommend this product unless you have a specific need for charging on a lightening port. The case fits fine otherwise & it does charge the phone as intended - and I feel like I will get 2 full phone charges likely although I haven't discharged that far yet.The case is about 3.5 thickness of the phone and noticeably heavy. It fits in my pocket but everyone will see it is a bulky box in your pocket.*initial review*I don't know what others are doing, but I have a QI charger with 2 chargers in it so that it will charge a phone on it's side or upright. This case will not charge in either direction - it just makes the charger go into error mode. I didn't even try to put my phone in it because it won't charge. The bottom of the case has a port that looks like it would take a usb-c cable, but the cable will not go into this port. I tried the one that goes to my laptop also and it doesn't fit either. The instructions just say to plug charging cable in but it

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor adventures where power sources may be limited
Cons
  • The case can limit your access to the phone's ports and buttons
