I have recently discovered that I have some herniated or herniated disc issues. I bought this in an effort to continue working as pain free as possible until a final treatment decision was made. First, this product on its own helps some, but ultimately doesn't provide enough strength to keep my back stretched enough to avoid nerve pain. As an aside, I also have an inversion table and have found that inflating this product in reverse and with no pressure on my spine is absolutely strong enough to hold my discs in place to last a full day's work and long rides (in some Felling more than 4 hours and jobs that require moderate lifting of the tool bag). I encourage anyone to try this for pain relief (even though I'm not a doctor and don't even want to pretend I know what I'm doing. It's only helped me).
