When Gmail notified me that one of my accounts could be accessed, they offered an external device like Yubico for authentication. If the dongle is not plugged into my USB port, no one can access my email. I like its security but I couldn't connect all my passwords to it, only my email. For the rest I use one of the password saving programs. This model fits both my umUSB laptop and my phone's Lightning port. Why buy two different types to have access to each? You should get the second one as a backup. So if you need more protection than just getting a code sent to your email address, I would add Yubico. The price isn't exactly cheap, but I see it as a one-time security benefit that pays off over time.
