Review on Dritz 3150 Bamboo Point Turner and Presser by Amber Perez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong, smooth wood, versatile

I bought this tool to extrude corners from the inside of a fabric seam. I have found many other good uses for this single tool in my quilting practice. I use it for finger pressing as the wood is very smooth. I use it to hold the edge of a small block as I sew to the end so it doesn't end up twisting (I'm a beginner). I use it to cover safety pins! After securing the blanket with the exposed pins, simply place the tip of the tool under the exposed straight portion of the pin and lift slightly. The pen closes easily and you haven't used your fingers/nails. I suppose I could use it to point at things when I'm speaking, but I've been taught that pointing is rude :).

Pros
  • Bamboo approx. 3/4" x 5"
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
