Update: Resolved! in my review

Hello again. I am very happy to report that my return was promptly accepted (even under the circumstances - see below*) and a "just-as-prompt" refund was granted. I'm not sure if Best Buy granted my return/refund or if the seller did but, either way, excellent customer service prevailed! I plan to buy another pair of these pants but will be hyper-mindful of the tailoring process. Thanks Best Buy and Safort!Previous Headline: Cutting the pants to suit your individual length was a problemHello. I had purchased these pants along with a similar pair from Bubblelime. While I liked the fit and quality of the Safort pants a little more than that of Bubblelime's, I returned the Safort pair. While cutting the pants length to suit individual needs is a novel idea and possibly ideal for many customers, I couldn't wrap my mind around paying for an item and having to "fix" it myself.Since I couldn't get the overall "fit" of the Safort pants out of my mind, I took a chance and ordered them again. I tried them on first and the fit was as I remembered. The length was as expected but I recalled "swimming" in the length on the first pair - this pair just seemed very long. So, I measured my inseam and that of the pants (just for comparison). I followed the instructions and recommendations but I made sure to cut a little shy just in case. My heel was stepping on the length, so I cut a second time. In between the recommended guidelines/markers on the pants.Well, I was extremely disappointed - the pants were too short. I was so bummed out. I figured it was my own fault but was hard-pressed to figure out what I did wrong. I examined the instructions again but couldn't determine what i might have been able to do differently. I looked over the pants again the only problem I could determine was that the pants may have already been cut once before by another purchaser since there didn't seem to be the same # of markers on the hemline. As I didn't believe I had any recourse (and was excited to wear my new pants), I wore them to work (health club manager and instructor) and found myself pulling on the legs all day to add length somehow. It was awkward and didn't help. I am asked by members and students about where I purchase my apparel and I would like to recommend these pants (for the comfort, fit and compression) but wouldn't in this case in fear that someone might run into the same problem.I will contact Safort to alert them to my issue as I'm sure they want to insure and maintain a high level of quality control. And, while I would expect and understand that they question my "tailoring" skills, it's only fair that they have a chance to respond. I will post the result of my inquiry with them as it could help other customers make their purchasing decisions.

Pros
  • Designed with UPF50+ technology, these pants provide superior sun protection, making them ideal for outdoor workouts
Cons
  • The fabric might not be as stretchy as some would like
