Uncomfortable brushing experience

I bought this brush on the recommendation of my dentist but I don't really like it. The vibration tickles and itches, sometimes it even hurts and makes brushing your teeth uncomfortable. I've been told that it offers better cleaning than a manual toothbrush and that the sonic action is said to be better than the rotating one, but I'm not sure I'll ever get used to the uncomfortable feeling of brushing my teeth. The head sculpt is a lot smaller than expected but seems to work well. I have found that I use a lot less toothpaste with this brush. However, I can't clean my tongue with this tiny toothbrush, so I use a hand brush or a tongue scraper for that. It's kind of weird using two tools for one quick daily habit. Also, due to the cord, I can't stick it in my first aid kit like I usually do with regular toothbrushes, and I'm not thrilled to see it on the counter. So far it has held a charge for quite a long time and if I leave the base connected to the network it never runs out of power. I have found regular replacement nibs that I have not tried but they are cheaper than branded replacement nibs. better than my manual toothbrushes.
