First of all I gave these powerful magnets 4 stars instead of 5 because while they are durable they are not perfect. I have a standard wreath with a light that runs on D batteries. It's hard, but not super hard. It goes well with the features to be used. I also have a metal gate that I have attached one of these little guys to. It slipped easily. He held on, but I was afraid a strong gust of wind might blow him away. So I took the second hook and placed it a little lower so the bottom lip of the wreath was also connected. So if you put the first on top of the collar metal and the second on the bottom of the collar metal you will be covered and this creates a stronger hold. I just love that mine is totally secure and that's how I made it stick. I've used it throughout the holiday season with no complaints or problems. I know they will be great for years to come and I would buy them again. They are beautiful, durable and easy to use.
