Review on 📚 Modern Silver Floating Bookshelf Set: Umbra Conceal Large Bookshelf, Set of 3 by Tony Wylie

Let me start by saying I have an MA in English so I love books! And with that in mind, it's good that I still have my senior textbooks - standard-size hardcover books do NOT fit on this shelf. There are small hooks on the wall into which you need to insert the cover to make the book "float" while holding the bottom cover. However, none of my standard hardcover novels fit - when closing the book, the bottom slipped and the book "walked out of place" and the bottom cover slipped off the hooks because the book was too small. I used a wider and lighter textbook from my school days and it was a perfect fit. The textbook is 8.5 inches wide, while the standard hardcover novel size I used (assuming it was slightly larger than other standard hardcover books) was around 6.5 inches. So the shelf requires hardcover books to be 2 inches wider than most books. You can see in my photos how much larger the bottom book is than the standard size book above. This works great if, like me, you have large yet lightweight books. I originally had it right above my bed, but I have to move it because I've already banged my head just to put my books on it (haha!) for easier reading, and then put my phone on it instead tucking it under your pillow while you charge it overnight, which I know isn't that safe. Overall it met my expectations, but thank god I had a book to match. I bought a large white shelf.
