Better a Miele bag than a Dyson bag without a bag

We are young pensioners and have a two-storey house. It's easier to have a vacuum cleaner for each floor than to carry the vacuum cleaner up/down the stairs. Miele supplies the top floor where our two cats have their home base. Downstairs we have Dyson where our long haired dog stays mostly. Both upstairs and downstairs have a mix of hard floors and carpeting. When Dyson dies, we're already planning to become a Miele household, thanks largely to these bags. The Dyson wins well, but with the long-haired bitch and her trips in and out of the house, the problem on the ground for the Dyson dump is that any hair wrapped around the center column will mix with the outside dirt. I rarely manage to just shake it out - I usually have to nudge it lightly with my fingers to empty it completely. Then I have to deal with a handful of very fine dust. In comparison, Miele not only picks up cat hair (one of which is a long-haired ragdoll), but also removes traces of small dirt. It's not as nimble as the Dyson, but when it comes time to switch bags the difference is lovely. The bag has a loop that you have to pull to release and the bag closes automatically with a zipper that closes the opening. The inside of the vacuum's body is surprisingly clean, suggesting almost nothing leaks out of the bag. Such inventiveness, ease and purity are worth paying for.

  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Big and chunky
