I am 63 years old. I'll take Andrew Lessman Healthy hair, skin. & nails, as well as additional biotin daily. My natural nails are getting stronger; but they still break easily if I let them grow longer, have noticeable ridges, and are dull. I bought CND SolarOil to take care of my nails. But before I started using it, I bought and tried this nail block. Step 1, File: The files section is good to complete. However, if you want to file your nails shorter, use an emery board. Then finish the edges with a section of file. That's why I deducted 1 star. Step 2, Removing the Combs: This definitely clipped my combs. Step 3, Buffing: The buffing section worked great to smooth my nails after removing the burrs. Step 4, Buffing and Shining: To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this section. Well, was I wrong. After using this section my nails look like they have a glossy coat of clear nail polish, not just natural nails. I hope this 4 sided nail block lasts because I can leave my nails natural, apply nail oil and hopefully have stronger nails without using nail polish to allow them to grow. I've posted a photo of my natural nails after using them with no oil or nail polish to show you the beautiful shine this block gives you. They look shinier in real. I'll let you know when the blockage starts to get worse so you know how long it will last. I had to rate the durability, which I don't really know yet. I've given 5 stars for now. I recommend this as a great finishing tool. Just grab an emery board for a heavier lining.
