Does exactly what it's supposed to do

This was the best value I saw for a KVM switch that met my needs (3 monitors, 2 ports, HDMI) . The market for KVM switches that fit this description is pretty tight, and I was a little nervous offering the lowest price. Turns out there was nothing to worry about. I installed KVM in a few minutes and it's been working great ever since. Switching is quick and crisp, and there's no noticeable lag with video, audio, or USB devices. Can't comment on the keyboard/mouse hotkeys for switching sources as I'm using a wired remote which was perfect. The manufacturer/vendor on Revain demonstrates an unusual level of customer support. The included cables feel nice; In addition to the two proprietary HDMI-HDMI+USB+Audio+Mic cables, you get enough regular HDMI cables for the rest of your computer connections, so you only need to provide cables that connect the KVM to your monitors. The form factor is excellent; It's as compact as it gets, with all the ports you need, and doesn't generate much heat. I've seen complaints in other reviews that the monitor ports (particularly the proprietary HDMI cable) don't work. with adapters, but I had no problems with that; I have several adapters and conversion cables (e.g. DVI-HDMI and DisplayPort-HDMI) to connect to my computer and haven't had any problems (I haven't tried using adapters to connect a monitor). I was also able to remap some of the included cables (which I didn't need due to using adapter cables I already had) to connect to the monitors. Overall I am very happy with the performance and the price. If I need another KVM in the future I will consider CKLau first.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Too long to wait
