Review on Dorman 923-202 Center High Mount Third Brake Light for Ford and Mercury Models by Mike Starling

Price is right, flat work. The product is of very good quality. The instructions may indicate that the buyer has done this type of work before, so I recommend watching one of the many videos on You Tube that explain how to remove a broken block and install a new one. The only complaint about this product is that the wiring harness is tightly connected to the connector. Technically it is plug and play. However, on the Ford Explorer, the wiring harness must be routed through a connector hole that is too small. The wire harness needs to be cut, then threaded through the hole and then reinserted into the wire harness using the two cheap Mist crimp connectors that come with the kit. I decided to solder the joints and wrap them with heat shrink tubing. Dorman could easily pre-cut the wire harness and connect each end of the cable to good quality plugs and sockets and that would only add a few dollars to the price. I would like to pay for it. Apart from this one shortcoming, I recommend good lighting.
