The main reason I chose them is the 3" can size. I have swapped out halogen cartridges in several cases. The Existing openings in the cabinets were 3 1/8", which would fit a standard 3" jar. But because of the spring system holding the jar in place, another 1/4" diameter was needed. Another option is to cut grooves on both sides for the spring case to fit through. That would take too long and I chose a 3 3/8" hole saw and a jig I made to cut it in the 3 1/ 8" hole to center. Otherwise, the light is very good. The spring system simplifies installation. The LED driver is located in a metal housing, into which 120 V AC is fed. The plug-in connection ensures fast operation. The connection from the driver e.g ur LED lamp is simple and fast. I chose lamps with a temperature of 2700 Kº to look like the halogens they replace. They seemed slightly brighter than the 50 watt halogen bulbs they replaced. The LED eye can be rotated to point them in the desired direction, in my case it was straight down. As long as they last, this is a great lighting system.
