That's about 6.5 (white) columns. I put 4 of these in the finished basement. Connected a Yamaha radio. I also have a TV connected to an echo dot. Installation was very easy. All 4 went into a drop ceiling tile which was very easy to use with the template provided. I had to attach the speakers to the floor joists to take the weight off the tiles. Otherwise I was afraid that the tile would tear. Speakers sound a lot better when they're tiled. I tested the sound when not in tiles and it's much fuller when in tiles. By price. you can defeat them. We are 2 years old and we love them.
