I was hesitant about buying a China-made laptop from CHUWI. Let's start with that. I'm not an avid gamer or computer guru. I don't sit at the computer every day, for work etc. I just browse google, youtube, facebook. A few programs for recording, pictures and music in my library. I have seen many reviews about this laptop and as a consumer I feel it is important to share my experience with it. I've had it for about 2 weeks and maybe it's just a thrill but I use it non-stop. Things you will see or read in reviews: Keyboard: Insanely big. I can't really tell you about keystrokes and travel and all that good stuff. But I can tell you, as someone who does very little keyboard typing, it's going to take a bit of getting used to. Not bad. Screen: This is a RETINA display. No, not even close. But for watching UHD and 4K videos, it's no fool. looks great, bright screen, soft colors and transitions. Matte screen surface, ideal for anti-glare. Narrator: Good. This is my only real complaint. That's the most terrifying sound I've ever heard. Speakers hidden somewhere under the display? may be? It basically sounds like it's coming from another room when it's actually in your lap. I understand that a laptop may not be ideal for listening to music or listening to audio. but that's so bad. By price. I can live with that, BT headphones or speakers and everything is fine. Actual Performance: Fantastic! So 16 GB RAM and 256 SSD bribed me. I've probably never gotten as far as using RAM this way, but one thing I've learned about electronics is headroom. Always take a little {or a lot} more than you need, you don't want to keep your computer at full capacity all the time. After reading the reviews I ordered an EDUP wifi extender and use it in place of the internal card. It's not that bad, I just want to go a little bit faster. With 5 GHz WiFi, this computer downloads everything very quickly. It's so fast, almost instantaneous. I think that means the most to me. Perfomance. Physical laptop: looks like a giant Macbook. Appearances are deceptive. Looks great, honestly I like the aesthetic but the plastic. Again, no problem, but make sure you order a good soft case for it. It flexes a bit if you just pick it up, I have a feeling I might have to. be a little gentle with him? But the price has to compromise. CHUWI has several different laptop lines and they all look pretty cute, not smart. I love this laptop, it has everything I could need for years to come. For the price I am VERY satisfied. The real value for me is value for money. Is that a $1600 laptop? no But it works as one and that's important to me. I literally spent a week researching this particular laptop. I watched every video and read about 30 different reviews. I am undoubtedly happy with this computer, I order it for my daughter's birthday and recommend this laptop to everyone.
