The HexGaming Hyper HEX controller is a solid option for competitive gaming for both professional and casual gamers. The gamepad is based on the official Sony PlayStation 4 controller, so wireless and wired connections, as well as all typical functions of the DualShock 4 (touchpad, etc.) work perfectly. Combining features inspired by the premium Xbox Elite and SCUF controllers, the HexGaming Hyper HEX includes trigger limiters, remappable back buttons, and interchangeable sticks. It all works as intended and is a great addition to a beautifully designed gamepad. The position of the rear buttons could be improved, as well as the gamepad's ergonomics. During use it feels like a rectangular box in the hands compared to the more comfortable curvature of the standard DualShock, and it would be better if it was designed to offer a more secure grip. The graphic design and coloring of the controller are top notch and it comes in a cool, sturdy carrying case. It definitely looks like a premium controller and the sticks are perfect for quick switching depending on what games you're playing. While the ergonomics can be improved, after a few weeks of use on PS4 and PC I can say that the HexGaming Hyper HEX is a solid choice if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the more expensive Xbox Elite and SCUF.
