I wanted LED lights that would attach directly to the underside of a plywood attic. These devices worked. If you must mount them directly to the ceiling or wall, drill a β inch diameter hole midway between the bulbs and 5 inches from each end. Place a piece of wood Β½" thick and 1-β " wide in the channel on the opposite side of the brackets so you don't bend the bracket when you screw it to the ceiling. Position the light in the desired location on the ceiling and secure it to the ceiling with screws of the appropriate length. Two 1-1/4" screws held the mount securely to the 1/2" plywood.
