I read for an hour every morning, and in the fall and winter my bedroom doesn't get much natural light. I want to read without turning on the bedroom light. My Kindle has a backlight; and of course reading an e-book or from my Kindle app on my iPad is no problem. I bought this lamp for reading printed texts. I was so excited to receive it and read it in its light. The first morning, towards the end of the hour, the light dimmed considerably. On the second day, within a few minutes, the light was insufficient to decipher the words on the page. I started playing with the button to see what level I had. That was great. I put it aside and turned on the light. Maybe it's the battery. I don't have such a battery handy. Such an item must have a good battery from the start. Maybe I have a lemon. I do not know. I like the design. That's a great idea. It would be really cool if it worked.
