This lantern is not suitable for Kindle because you can't pinch and squeeze the end to clip it on and you just have to force and sort it open wide enough. We bought a case for our Kindle and while it's wide enough to fit a Kindle with a case, it doesn't let the case go to sleep automatically. So then you have to constantly turn the light on and off, which is difficult and will end up ruining my case.

So far I like it. Its prefect for reMarkable 2 is only held on the circuit boards by the clip. The clip can fall on the screen but doesn't seem to damage it. To be on the safe side, I put a piece of felt with the backing of the tape on the part that can touch the screen. notices that you cannot write on the small part of the screen at the top. This was done by a magnet on a book lantern. I removed the magnet and everything is fine now.

I have to tell you when it arrived I thought "What the hell" but that turned out to be premature. This is a wonderful flashlight, has four modes of operation, and even the brightest one won't wake my husband. It sits well on the paper back and doesn't cast shadows on the page. Charges via USB port. I don't know how long the battery will last before needing a charge but I used the light on the highest setting for over 3 hours with no dimming. Would buy again.
