The first and most important thing for me in any walkie talkie is the sound quality and this walkie does a great job. We didn't ride 3km but we rode quite a distance and it works like a charm. There are many bandwidth stations that you can try and they work great! This can be a lifesaver when there is no cellular signal. They can use its radio transmitter to communicate with each other. I also have a set in my earthquake emergency kit. Very comfortable and easy to carry. I liked the belt clip feature. You can easily wear it over jeans or shorts when hiking or walking and it will stay intact. I played it with my kid and he liked the mini flashlight. The colors look good and vibrant and look just like they do on the Revain website.
