Review on πŸ”Œ IZTOR Power Adaptor Socket with LED Digital Voltmeter - Cigarette Lighter Combination, 12-24V by Jeremy Lunn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Thin wire and very deep sockets.

I installed many 12V/12V car sockets on USB/12V Anderson power poles and ordered car sockets many times. Car socket tester (has a voltmeter) and the tester didn't register any current. Shocked, I checked all the connections and tried again. Still no joy. I finally got out my multimeter and the outlet has power - the outlet is so deep my tester couldn't make contact from the back. I randomly collect a bunch of devices and only found 2 that were long. enough to charge. None of my USB adapters were long enough. In fact, the hole diameter is slightly larger than usual, and some of my Anker USB adapters didn't even make lateral contact. If you don't need this particular surface mount style, look elsewhere. If you really want this style, you might want to consider buying other outlets to replace the ones that come with it. While I didn't give a star for this, I wanted to warn people about the tiny wires that are included. It comes with 16 AWG wire. . 16 AWG is only good for 2-4 foot distances for a single outlet, and I would never use 16 AWG for a dual outlet. Ditch the wires and use at least 12 AWG (unless you're within feet of the battery). I use 10 AWG for almost everything - just in case. Using a thicker cable is especially important as this is a dual outlet, requiring more power to support both cables.
